Shorewood, WI 53211 414-962-0808 Fax: 414-962-0047 Eggertglass@aol.com Artist's Satement Being self-taught, I have had the freedom to develop my work both technically and esthetically according to my own vision, reflecting my interest in the costume, ritual and myth of traditional cultures. The figures themselves are faceless and spirit-like. While not intentionally specific to any religious or cultural tradition, they do often evoke strong feelings of spirituality or mysticism. Masks and ornaments add to the context of each piece, and by being wearable, allow the wearer to “share” these objects with the figures.
